As one of my New Years Resolutions, I’ve decided to start my Life Top 100 list. I’ve been a bit slack in not exactly putting this list to paper (it’s all up in my head at the moment). But one of the top 10 things I want to do is the Couch to 5K program.
As some of you may know, I hate running. I hate running because due of all sorts of reasons which you may think are just plain silly excuses. While I believe my reasons still stand, I have decided to look past this and run anyway… Plus, I haven’t found any other exercise to tone my extrodinarily chunky calves (haha).
So anyway, back to the point. The Couch to 5K program is supposedly meant to set you up to be able to run 5k in just 9 weeks. So this is week 1. Sunday I ran at the gym which was lovely and nice. Yesterday I ran at home which was stinky and hot and I felt like I was going to pass out. Friday I will run again – hopefully outside this time, if the mother nature isn’t cruel to me (though she has been playing sick games with me in the past month).
So yes, I’m determined. Although, I don’t know how I’m going to be able to stick to my program while I’m away in the States or when I’m in Toronto… But I’m hoping to detail my progress here so I don’t slack off. So nudge me if I don’t update you.
In conjunction with the Couch to 5K program, I’m also doing 100 Pushups (the goal is 100 pushups in 6 weeks). Then after this I definitely want to do the Zero to 1 Mile swimming program. I think that’s my fitness plan for the first half of this year. Haha!
